Why was Gatsby still in love with Daisy even if she's a b**ch and has no brain?

she has no personality, has money but Gatsby is rich as well, and the only thing I can think of is Gatsby wants to remain in that point of time forever and that's the only way he can disillusion himself or she's goodlooking (but can't he get a better looking girl?)
