Can you shoot balled up socks using a nerf ball blaster?

My school is playing humans vs zombies in a few weeks & I want to be a bit different. In the game you can either throw socks or shoot nerf darts at zombies, but I want to know if It would be physically possible to launch balled up socks from a nerf ball blaster if I got the fit right (I didn't read in the rules that you couldn't do that), or would it not be air-tight enough to launch?
