How do you believe the unusual stories that the Bible tells you?

For Example, the Bible tells you that "Goliath" was between 8.5 feet -13.5 feet tall,which is extremely giant for a human being. I may believe he died when David hit him on his head with pebble using slingshot. But it is hard to believe he was that tall. Because that kind of human fossil has never been found during archeological study. What do you think?
