Don't lose hope. Everyone on the earth has the ability to exceed in areas. It sounds like your whole family is really screwed up and you are like the only shining beacon of hope. Use the money on saving for college instead of drinking and stuff. You can do it. Don't limit yourself. Let life set it's limits, don't put any there that weren't already there. Your boyfriend definitely did not mean what he said. You've probably never cut hair before and so he shouldn't have expected much. One of the great things about parents and children is the extraordinary effect that the children can have on the parents once they've grown up. Drag yourself out of the gutter and shoot for the stars and your mom will admire you and strive to do better for herself because of your shining example. Never lose hope.
