Why does Turkey's Islamist Government refuse to sever relations with Israel, as Christian Venezuela has?

the venezuelan government is more islamic then the turkish. remember Mustafa Attaturk was the one who dismantled the Caliph and did alot of unislamic when he founded modern day Turkey
