Is Simon Cowel losing his objectivity in his judgment of the Idols? Is he abusing his position lately?

He chose a song for Jordin that was not a well known song in order to help Melinda stand out. When Jordin gave 3 magnificent performances Simon did not give her a warm applause. I don't know what is going on in his mind and what fantasies he has created about Melinda, but I find him becoming less objective and he is getting tired of this job. One thing he cannot see is that there is more than hitting a note right. A huge part is the sound, the color of the voice. I find him not being objective lately. He also is being rude to Paula. How rude to criticize your fellow judges? Isn't it time to replace him with a fresh judge who can be objective?
