How would i test which material conserves heat. Paper, cotton, or aluminum foil?

Take a baseline(ambient) temperature of each material, then heat each material and soak for X amount of time at that temperature. then take readings at a certain interval say every minute fore ten minutes, or until they have reached room temperature again.
