Don't you just HATE ignorant people like this...?

Now this is going to be the most unlikely of alliances; I do not support the bulk of this war effort, particularly as it is being waged in Iraq. My reasons are legion, but none of them are in any way anti-military where the individual service member is concerned. I am myself a former military member and I am intimately aware of the personal sacrifices these brave men and women make for us daily around the globe. That being said, when I saw the photo you provided I was viscerally disgusted by the ignorance displayed (up to and including the desecration of our flag), so oddly enough, I find that we are in agreement on our mutual distaste for that spectacle. The thing is, this protest, no matter how ill-conceived and thoughtlessly presented, was likely a lawful expression of their right to be heard...yet another right currrently being defended abroad by the same servicemembers they vilify, so I suppose there's nothing to be done in that regard. What you have done and are doing to call attention to this situation is noble and noteworthy, as evidenced by the fact that you have established (with at least one person who basically disagrees with you) some common ground. I applaud your efforts and I thank you for your insight.
