Does the Religious Right really want to turn this great nation into a theocracy?

There is a fringe group who would like to see politics governed as a theocracy. That don't believe there is a separation of chruch and state. Bibilically it says to follow mans law except where it contradicts mine. I think this minority fringe can create distractions in election cycles but I don't think there is a big enough movement to move this country into a theocracy.
